Candelis Announces ImageGrid VM at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine Annual Meeting

Newport Beach, CA (June 8, 2022)

Candelis, Inc., a leading provider of innovative and cost-effective data management and PACS solutions for hospitals and imaging centers, today announced the release of ImageGrid VM, an enhancement of the ImageGrid™ DICOM router for virtualized environments. In addition, Candelis will exhibit ImageGrid VM at the at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Kissimmee, Florida, from June 9-11,2022 in the Candelis exhibition booth (#519).

“The recently launched ImageGrid VM will allow customers greater flexibility in how they deploy ImageGrid. The best-in-class functionality of ImageGrid will now be available within customer’s existing virtual environments providing benefits to many larger, high-volume healthcare facilities,” says Robert Van Uitert, Vice President of Marketing.

The ImageGrid VM includes the following exciting features:

  • Increases the speed of existing PACS systems
  • Centrally manage image workflow and modalities from a single location
  • Advanced routing from multiple sources to multiple destinations
  • Rule-based DICOM tag morphing
  • Enhanced prefetch of studies
  • HL7 integration with existing RIS, EMR, and PACS
  • Fast delivery of large studies across entire health systems
  • Handles a massive number of concurrent requests
  • Improves uptime of facilities
  • Reduces hours needed to manage modalities and protocols

Candelis will also demonstrate the ImageGrid Plus product at SIIM 2022. ImageGrid Plus is an ultra-high-performance platform that has been optimized through several years of collaboration with multiple large healthcare facilities. ImageGrid Plus can support high volume healthcare environments of 1,000+ modalities and is tailored for facilities with an overtaxed central system in the radiology department, and where complex routing rules and DICOM tag morphing are necessary to support the radiology work environment.

“Our partnership with Candelis has enabled us to vastly improve our workflow at an enterprise level by using the ImageGrid Plus. There is a significant reduction in hours needed to manage the modalities now that all the protocols can be managed remotely and centrally for all of our devices. As a result, we have optimized patient care by improving response time and allowing continuity of service, while lowering the cost of operations.  We could not have moved forward without Candelis modernizing the traffic on our heavy volume equipment,” explained Grant Smith, CRES Director, Duke University Health System.
